Questions
How do I organize my GitHub stars?
Enter your GitHub username or sign in. Starback sorts your starred repositories into Gathering dust (starred 30+ days ago), Recent, Dead (archived or inactive for a year), plus your own To try and Tried lists.
How can I find repos I starred and forgot about?
The Gathering dust tab lists stars older than 30 days that are still maintained, oldest first. Each week Starback picks three of them and can email them to you.
How does Starback recommend new repositories?
It looks at the topics and languages you star most, searches GitHub for popular, recently active repos on those topics, and removes anything you've already starred.
Is Starback free? What access does it need?
Yes. Browsing works with any public username and no login. Signing in with GitHub is read-only (profile and verified email) and only needed for the weekly email.
